14 Life Lessons I Learned Coaching Gary Vaynerchuk.

This post was originally shared by Mike Vacanti during his coaching sessions with Gary Vaynerchuk. I hope the life lessons will be of great value to you as they were to me.

1. OFFENSE
Putting out consistent 85% quality content is far superior to posting “perfect” articles/videos once in a blue moon.

2. ALWAYS DO THE RIGHT THING
No matter how good the offer is, think things through before you say ‘yes’.

3. MONEY AIN’T EVERYTHING
With money you can provide almost every basic need you and your family need, but you need to be proud of the emotional support you provide, it’s far more valuable.

4. YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO SLEEP AT NIGHT
Stay committed at what you say to people/clients. Do what is necessary according to what you promised them. If you do this I promise you’ll have the whole night to sleep waiting for the next day’s tasks.

5. COMMUNICATION SOLVES 99% OF PROBLEMS
Whenever you’re in a tight spot which might easily spark an argument, try as much as possible to set it aside mentally. Then later approach the other person, talk and clear the air completely.

6. YOUR EMPLOYEES “SHOULD NOT” CARE AS MUCH AS YOU DO.
“How are you not pissed that everyone isn’t hustling like you?” This was what Mike asked Gary when he saw employees fooling around at Vayner Media. Do you know what Gary said…”because it’s MY company, of course they aren’t going to care about it like I do.”

7. BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF ABOUT WHO YOU REALLY ARE.
“I failed in becoming a businessman, but I enjoy coaching clients and creating content. That’s what I do now.”- Gary Vaynerchuk.

8. PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH
Learn things by actually doing them. Don’t sit a top telling people what to do but you can’t do them.

9. LISTENING TO YOURSELF ALWAYS WINS
Trust your gut, act on your instincts rather than other people’s opinions.

10. GIVE 51%
Helping people for free is not a bad thing, but too bad most people don’t because they are too transactional, short-sighted, and impatient.

11. THOSE ARE CHAMPAGNE PROBLEMS
You have too many people that care about what you say? That’s a champagne problem.

12. DON’T  TAKE YOUR WORK PROBLEMS HOME
It’s completely irrational to let a problem at work impact how you treat your kids.

13. QUARTERBACKS TAKE THE BLAME.
The CEO is in charge of the business therefore, every issue is technically the CEO’s fault. Take responsibility for the losses because you always get more glory during wins.

14. WE ALL HAVE 24 HOURS
Just remember we all have 24 hours, and choosing how you use it is the best way to control your results.

    1. Hey Collette! What I can tell you that God really likes, is seeing us, His creation make a difference in this world by positively impacting the lives of others, and being real to ourselves(i.e just being us).
